Happy 4th of July!

We have had quite a day already! After a quick change of plans this morning, we were off to the neighborhood parade. In our neighborhood, the parade is made up of stollers, wagons and bikes all decorated and followed by the local fire truck.

One of our group's contributions - and Elle's ride for the day.

She loves riding in wagons and really got into waving at the bystanders. We may have a future 4-H fair queen on our hands!

The parade route started out in front of our neighborhood fire station. These guys actually played music and led us through the Star Spangled Banner, God Bless America and Take Me Out to The Ball Game!

Don't we look patriotic?

The 'other' Erica (it is rare I have to say that!), Jacob and Laura

A quick shot of the parade participants.

Elle and her buddy TC - the wagon looked great until Elle started tearing the streamers off. Hopefully they invite her back next year!

The parade bystanders.
I think there were more people in the parade than along the route!

The parade was followed by hot dogs, ice cream and a bake sale. Not too shabby for not even leaving the neighborhood! We also went to the pool. Pretty good day!

Elle modeling her beautiful, patriotic outfit. She received tons of compliments on it - Thanks Aunt Angie and Uncle Ray!

Hope you had a great 4th of July too!
